That’s way above the average American income (35k/year) for working 12 months.

Since teachers get so much vacation time why don’t they get a summer job & work 12 months like everyone else if they want higher pay instead of pleading with the politicians to raise their salary.

She said that part of the reason she wants to teach kindergarten is because they don’t really have to take a lot of work home, so they have more free time.
