I’m a LD teacher and am working with a 2nd grader one-on-one who is perfectally happy walking up and down the halls. I’ve tried schedules based on 10 min incriments with rewards based on completing 2-3 problems over the course of 20 min. He says that he wants to work to planning bball in the gym but won’t complete even 2 problems or sit down to hear the directions to a game to get to that point. Does anyone have suggested lesson plans that would work one-on-one with this very ADHD and oppositional and defiant child?

I’m a certified special educator, and I’m looking to tutor special education students and at-risk students in my community after school. I’m looking to apply for a grant that may help defray some of the cost. I live in a small rural community, where people do not have alot of money, but could benefit from tutoring service.
