I always get sidetracked in my own mind when I don’t have music on. Everytime I’m in class I try to concentrate, but I end up listening into other people’s conversations and then forget about what I’m doing. How can I convince my teachers that I need it in order to do my work and pass?
In your brain the limbic system is the part that tell you what is pleasurable. Music gives you pleasure and so your brain is convincing the receptors for learning that you need the music. This is the same thing the limbic system does to alcoholics and those who use other drugs. Your teachers know that music is a distraction and that is why they do not allow it.
Don’t even try. The teachers will not believe you. Have your seat changed so that you are not near your friends.
