tutoring
Sea Shells ♥ asked:

I am a 21 year old college student going for my degree in elementary education. I have a 3.5 gpa and have no experience tutoring. I have a job lined up, and the parent told me to come up with a reasonable fee. I would be tutoring for a few hours a few nights a week. I was thinking $12-$15 per hour?

I would think that’s a reasonable amount. Tutoring companies charge almost twice that.

I think that amount is appropriate. If you could though, try to find some tutoring gigs where you would be tutoring younger children. If you are going into Elementary Ed., that would only make sense. Take care. Happy Holidays!

That sounds reasonable. I charge $20 an hour for a special needs student and I had multiple years of teaching experience.

That sounds fair./ Try to tutor for at least two hour sessions.
