teachers
emily1980 asked:

My child’s Pre-K, K, and now 1st grade teachers wear clothes I find to be inappropriate. Cleavage all hanging out, tight pants, flip flops, etc. In my day teachers wore long skirts and blouses. Teachers today look like 16 year old girls headed to the mall. Our schools here have a stringent student uniform policy, but seem to be overlooking the teachers’ dress code. Has anyone else noticed this? Has anyone confronted a teacher on this matter?

Have you brought this to the attention of school officials? If not, maybe you should and to bolster your claim, talk with other parents and see if they feel the same as you and go from there. I don’t think cleavage is appropriate in schools or in typical business settings (not that I am totally against cleavage…I definitely have my moments). And in a time when it seems more and more female teachers are getting busted for having *** with their much younger students, I’m surprised schools would put up with it in the first place.

I am a teacher at a local high school, and we, as well as the other schools in the district, have a distinct dress code. If we are seen as dressed in something inappropriate, then we are talked to on an individual basis. If you feel that your child’s teacher’s dress in inappropraite, then you need to bring it up with her principal. Sometimes the administration doesn’t even realize what is going on, so that would be the best place to start if you want to change the dress of the teachers.
