I’m in the 2 year old room, and as you all know is very hectic and stressful. I really need some basic lesson plans that are already laid out with the theme of the week and ideas for nutrition and books. They color a lot and I also have a book that explains where they are in their learning abilities. Please I know there are some wonderful teachers out there that can help me. I greatly appreciate it!
A while back the Principal asked that the teachers submit lesson plans. The Teacher’s organization (not union because it isn’t one) CTA, fought the principal and threatened to sue the district over having the teachers writing up professional lesson plans.
I am 13 and next week I start tutoring my neighbor’s 10 year old daughter in math. In NYC, 5th graders use Everyday Math by McGraw-Hill. I cannot find worksheets or lesson plans for this curriculum.
I have to do a unit plan for a 3rd grade class on the subject of ecology…does anyone know some good websites to find lesson plans to help me with some ideas? Thanks alot
Also, how can you tell how long to make a lesson plan for? Any rule of thumb for how long a lesson plan will last? Like how long will an activity last?
I know that is so vague. Is there like a chart that shows how long certain activities typically last, any kind of measure of how long things last with this age group?
I want to be prepared. What lesson plans or materials can I use or buy for middle school with special ed life skills class? Any ideas on hands on activities that deal with the students senses?
Im looking for lesson plans directed only for infants/toddlers and 2 years olds–just samples-something to get me started or my report that i am writing
I am a second grader that teaches all the core subjects: math, science, language arts, and social sciences. I am looking for some recommendations for games, songs, lesson plans etc,, that will enhance my students learning and strengthen my curriculum
I always hear people complaining about how teachers only work 8am-2pm and get 3 months off for summer, therefore they are overpaid and the Unions are just evil organizations that don’t teach children anything. I don’t know about you, but I believe that developing lesson plans, preparing for parent teacher conferences, actual parent teacher meetings, staff development days, field trips and planning, plus summer school, goes WAY beyond the 8am-2pm myth. Why do people jump to conclusions so quickly? In some ways, I think teachers work harder than CEOs and lawyers but are compensated WAY less.
