tutoring
bo asked:

We have owned a tutoring business for three years and are now at a place where we would like to grow by adding more tutors and new clients. We specialize in tutoring high school students that are preparing for college. We help them get their academics up as well as prep for the stanrdardized test. What is the best way for us to hire qualified tutors? The best way for us to seek new clients?

Advertise it thru website, make your own website and let people know about it. Or you can make fliers and drop it in every mail box you suspected who needs your help or a place near you.

If you are looking to grow your business, there are many ways. If you put a magnetic sign on your vehicles, you can turn your car into a mobile advertisement and deduct all of your mileage. This can go a long way in finding clients and is one of the least expensive and save you the most money.

If you want to find clients and tutors, consider joining a Networking group like BNI, the Chamber of Commerce, or other local community groups. Then, you help the people there find what they need, and they help you find what you need. BNI especially is a great organization.

Lastly, consider putting up fliers wherever your demographic is. For example, talk to local high school principals and see if they may be willing to allow you to post fliers or give you a mailing list for their parents. They may also be willing to allow you to implement an afterschool tutoring program to help introduce your company to the kids and parents.

These are all inexpensive ways to grow your business. However, if none of those work for you, you might want to get a book called 6 Steps to Free Publicity. This is a really good book to help you get creative in marketing. Here’s a link to the book at Half.com.

Hope this helps.

First you must check out other similar tutoring businesses. See what methods/policies that they using. For example, this tutoring website as a reference:
