I’m only on my 4th year teaching, but I’ve already given up cute shoes for comfort. I can’t even go out and buy any kind of flip flop without worrying about where I’ll blister. Although they don’t offer much support, the cute new canvas shoes are comfortable. I posted a link to one kind on the bottom.

I am a big fan of Bass shoes. I am a teacher and my best friend is also a teacher. She prefers Clarks. Clarks are available at Macy’s, they have a wide variety. I think some of them look like old lady shoes but I must admit, some of them are really cute. I go to the Bass outlet by my house, and I purchase 70+$ shoes for half off and they are great and stylish.

anything by Merrill. They are pricey, but sooo worth it.

i would go with sketchers because many of their shoes have a lot more support than others. you can buy a pair of their shoes that are made like sneakers, but look like regular shoes. they will have a lot more support than your average loafer type shoe.

my husband is on his feet all day, too, and he wears sketchers sneakers to work because they have so much more support and cushioning.

I would certainly buy some clogs, as they are light and comfortable. They aren’t expensive, so you could get several colors to match your outfits. Be sure to get a black pair. You might want to wear socks sometime and you could wear socks to match your outfit. The color would show through the holes of the black clogs. That would be cute.

When I was teaching, I depended on flat, soft lace-up shoes, loafers, & dressy flats.

There is no reason to torture your feet with tight or high- heel shoes, as a teachers’ job is getting more physical all the time.

I have found that ballet flats are comfortable and stylish. You can find them at almost any shoe store in a variety of colors, as well. I taught kindergarten for a year, and they even survived that!

I have become a huge fan of Clarks shoes. They are cute and dressy… not to mention very, very, very comfortable.

What is the most comfortable, visually appealing shoe for teachers?

I am a teacher, and I am getting SO tired of being on my feet all the time, mainly because my feet hurt so much. I see a lot of teachers wearing crocs, sketchers, and so many other brands that are cute.

What are the most comfortable shoes that I could go about purchasing? Thanks for your help…I’m at the point that I’m taking everyone’s advice.

I would certainly buy some clogs, as they are light and comfortable. They aren’t expensive, so you could get several colors to match your outfits. Be sure to get a black pair.
